Kyle Greenwood is a 34-year-old Canadian professional wrestler and actor. He is part of the WWE NXT brand and is a member of The Undisputed Era. His ring name is Kyle O’Reilly.

O’Reilly made his wrestling debut for NWA: Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling on December 23, 2005, where he and his partner Tony Tisoy lost to Wrathchild and Killswitch. In January 2006, he wrestled in ECCW’s main event at the promotion’s 10th anniversary show. He teamed with Fast Freddy Funk and Kurt Sterling to defeat Michelle Starr, Johnny Canuck and Vance Nevada.

Greenwood’s Early Wrestling Career

In June 2007, Greenwood entered ECCW’s Pacific Cup tournament, where he faced Tony Kozina and Scotty Mac in the final and was victorious. He won his first championship title in July defeating Ice for the NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight Championship. Six days later, Greenwood lost the title to Ice. Greenwood won the title back and the two wrestlers traded the title back and forth several times.

From 2008 to 2019, Greenwood wrestled for various wrestling promotions including Ring of Honor, Dragon Gate USA, Pro Wrestling Guerilla and New Japan Pro Wrestling. While wrestling for these promotions, he held many titles including the ROH World Championship and ROH World Tag Team Championship. He was also Pro Wrestling Guerilla’s World Champion and he also held New Japan Pro Wrestling’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship title two times with Bobby Fish.

Kyle O’Reilly’s WWE Contract

In 2017, Kyle O’Reilly signed with WWE NXT and made his television debut in August losing to Aleister Black. At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish attacked SAnitY after they won the NXT Tag Team Championships. Later that night, O’Reilly and Fish alongside Adam Cole turned heel and attacked newly crowned NXT Champion, Drew McIntyre.

The following month, the trio of O’Reilly, Cole and Fish was officially dubbed “The Undisputed Era.” On December 20, O’Reilly and Fish defeated SAnitY to win the NXT Tag Team Championships. The Undisputed Era successfully defended the NXT Tag Team Championship titles at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia, NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, and NXT TakeOver: Chicago II.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Winners

At NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, The Undisputed Era gained a new member for its stable in Roderick Strong who turned on his partner Pete Dunne. The Undisputed Era’s win over Strong and Dunne and the Authors of Pain also meant they were the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

At the June tapings for the second United Kingdom Championship tournament, O’Reilly and Roderick Strong lost the titles to Moustache Mountain but won them back two days later. O’Reilly and Strong lost the titles again in January 2019 to the War Raiders at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. In August 2019, O’Reilly and Fish finally defeated The Street Profits to regain the NXT Tag Team Championships. O’Reilly and Fish held the NXT Tag Team Titles for several months until they lost them to the BroserWeights at NXT TakeOver: Portland in February 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, O’Reilly only appeared in pre-taped segments with The Undisputed Era as he refrained from competing due to his diabetes. O’Reilly returned in July 2020 and in early August, he and Bobby Fish unsuccessfully challenged Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
