Keith Lee, Nia Jax and Karrion Kross were released from WWE on Thursday.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced another round of superstar releases on Thursday night. Eighteen talents from both the main roster and its developmental brand NXT, were let go including Keith Lee, Nia Jax and Karrion Kross.

Other talents WWE released include Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Mia Yim, Eva Marie, Harry Smith, and B-Fab from the main roster. Franky Monet, Ember Moon, Scarlett, Oney Lorcan, Trey Baxter, Jessi Kamea, Zayda Ramier, Katrina Cortez, and Jeet Rama were released from NXT.

WWE talent were told that budget cuts were the reason for the releases. On the same day, WWE announced its third quarter financial results with$255.8 million in revenue for the quarter, a 15 percent year-over-year increase. Back in August, WWE made another round of releases from August and the company also cut several superstars earlier in the year.
