IYO SKY CASHES IN MITB & WINS WWE WOMEN’S TITLE

At WWE’s SummerSlam 2023, IYO SKY cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase contract and defeated Bianca Belair to win the WWE Women’s Championship. In the Triple Threat Match, WWE Women’s Champion Asuka was defending her title against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair. Flair, Asuka and Belair exchanged moves and several attempts at pinning each other. Flair launched Belair out of the ring which caused her to hit her harshly on the ring steps. Medical officials checked on Belair and tried to take her backstage, but she refused and returned to the ring. Belair delivered a 450 Splash from the top rope as Flair had Asuka in the Figure-Eight, but Flair narrowly kicked out. Flair locked in the Figure-Eight on Belair, but Asuka sprayed mist into Charlotte’s eyes. While still trapped in the Figure-Eight, Belair rolled up Asuka to win the WWE Women’s Title.

After the match, Bayley and IYO SKY rushed down to the ring and cashed in her Money in the Bank contract. Once the bell sounded for her cash-in, SKY soared in the ring and landed a moonsault on Belair to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Following her win, SKY celebrated with Bayley and Dakota Kai.
