WWE SURVIVOR SERIES: WARGAMES 2022 RECAP & REVIEW

WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022

WWE SURVIVOR SERIES: WARGAMES 2022 Match Card

Team Belair (Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and Becky Lynch) defeated Team Bayley (Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky), Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley). Women’s WarGames match

OUR PREDICTION: DAMAGE CTRL
WINNER: TEAM BELAIR
RATING: 7/10

This match was awesome. The only complaint is the wrong team winning. Damage CTRL needed this win more than team Belair. The highlight of the match being Iyo Sky jumping all around the cage. They also teased a future match between Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley which is a match that we need to see. Dakota Kai and Bianca Belair started the match which was nice because it’s always good to see Dakota Kai get some spotlight. After a fast-paced match, Becky Lynch hit Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky through a table and pinned Dakota Kai for the win. This was a really fun match, and WWE openers usually are but Damage CTRL have looked like losers since their debut. They need this more than the other team.

AJ Styles (with The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson)) defeated Finn Bálor (with The Judgment Day (Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio)). Singles match

OUR PREDICTION: AJ STYLES
WINNER: AJ STYLES
RATING: 7/10

This was a pretty good match, but it felt off in a way. Maybe it was because of the constant interference. It was still really good though as every match between Styles and Balor is, but even their match at TLC 2017 was more interesting and that one didn’t have a storyline. It was a high flying match with both men having control for major parts of the match. AJ Styles locked in the Calf Crusher on Balor, but Balor reversed out of it and AJ Styles was ready for it when he hit Finn Balor with a Phenomenal Forearm for the win.

Ronda Rousey (c) (with Shayna Baszler) defeated Shotzi. Singes match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

OUR PREDICTION: RONDA ROUSEY
WINNER: RONDA ROUSEY
RATING: 3/10

This was by far the worst match of the night. Ronda Rousey has become really boring, as she lacks everything that made her special before. It sucks seeing Shayna Baszler as just a sidekick to Ronda Rousey when we all know she’s better than Ronda. We also hate seeing the most predictable matches of all time. As cool as it is was to see Shotzi fighting for a title on a big event, they didn’t build her up enough. The only interesting spot in this match was Shotzi diving onto Shayna and Ronda in the crowd. Other than that it was a boring match with nothing interesting happening. Ronda won the match with an armbar. This match was really boring, and Ronda sucks right now.

Austin Theory defeated Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) and Bobby Lashley. Triple threat match for the WWE United States Championship

OUR PREDICTION: AUSTIN THEORY
WINNER: AUSTIN THEORY
RATING: 8/10

This was a really good match. The new Austin Theory has been amazing, and it’s a really good thing that he won the title. Triple H took the horrible decision of having Theory lose the Money in the Bank contract, and turned it into the best thing that could happen to Theory, a character change and a title win. The match was fast paced and you could see any of the three competitors winning it. Seth Rollins hit an awesome curb stomp to Bobby Lashley after jumping off of Theory’s back. Bobby Lashley then hit Rollins with a spear while Rollins was holding Theory in the air, and Theory landed on Rollins and pinned him for the win. This match was really fun, had unique spots, and had the right winner.

The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa, and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso)) (with Paul Heyman) defeated The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch), Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens. Men’s WarGames match

OUR PREDICTION: THE BRAWLING BRUTES
WINNER: THE BLOODLINE
RATING: 10/10

This match was perfect AND had so much storytelling in it. It led to the best finish to a match we have ever seen. The story of this match was Sami Zayn needing to prove his loyalty to the Bloodline. Jey Uso started the match against Butch, and then when it was the Bloodline’s turn to send someone into the match, Jimmy Uso was going to help his brother, but Roman held him back and told Sami Zayn to go instead. This was to test Sami Zayn by making him team up with the one person in The Bloodline who hates him, Jey Uso. By the time everyone was in the ring, it was all out chaos.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn avoided each other the whole match until the end. Sami Zayn stopped the referee from counting to 3 and Kevin Owens was upset. Roman Reigns then told Sami Zayn to hit Owens, so Zayn hit his best friend with a low blow and a Helluva Kick, before letting Jey Uso pin Owens for the win. After the match Zayn was finally accepted my Jey Uso and the whole Bloodline are all on the same page now.
