TEGAN NOX RETURNED TO WWE ON SMACKDOWN

Tegan Nox returned to WWE on Friday Night SmackDown on December 2nd 2022

On Friday Night’s episode of SmackDown, Tegan Nox returned to WWE after she was released by Vince McMahon in November 2021. At her debut this past week, Nox returned to WWE to help Liv Morgan fight Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Bayley and IYO SKY) after Morgan had responded to Bayley’s indirect challenge who said that no one wanted to face them.

Tegan Nox, whose real name is Steffanie Newell, is a 28-year-old Welsh professional wrestler from Wales. She had signed with WWE in 2017 and competed in the Mae Young Classic, but tore her ACL before the tournament even began. Nox returned to the ring in 2018 and competed in the second Mae Young Classic. During that Mae Young Classic, she suffered several injuries including a torn ACL, MCL, lateral collateral ligament, meniscus and patellar dislocation. In 2019, Nox returned to WWE and moved to the company’s NXT UK brand. She then joined NXT and formed a short-lived tag team with Dakota Kai who later turned on her at NXT WarGames 2019. Tegan Nox continued to compete on NXT until she suffered a torn ACL in September 2020.

Nox returned to in-ring action at the NXT Great American Bash 2021. She then briefly moved to the WWE’s main roster in July 2021 where she teamed up with Ember Moon. Together, Nox and Moon scored multiple wins over WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Tamina and Natalya. However, on November 18, 2021, WWE released Tegan Nox citing budget cuts as the reason.
