RANDY ORTON MAY BE OUT FOR THE REST OF 2022 DUE TO INJURY

Randy Orton requires surgery due to a back injury

WWE’s Randy Orton may be out of action for the rest of 2022 due to a back injury requiring surgery. Orton, who performs on RAW, has been with WWE for the past 20 years and has been able to perform despite the lingering injury. Randy Orton last wrestled in May 2022 when he and tag team partner Riddle lost the WWE RAW Team Championships to The Usos in a title unification match. After the match, Orton had to be helped backstage by officials. The following day, WWE issued the following statement for fans:

Randy Orton is currently undergoing consultations with neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons to determine the extent of his injury and to recommend course of treatment.

WWE

Fightful Select reported that Orton had work done to improve his condition before the May 20th match, but it’s not clear what the “work” was. It also isn’t clear exactly what Orton’s injury is but that it’s his back. In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Orton’s father Cowboy “Bob” Orton, said: “He’s got a little bit of a back problem. I think they’ll take care of everything with rehab and everything,”
