GONZALEZ & KAI WIN NXT WOMEN’S TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

New WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned today at the NXT TAKEOVER: STAND & DELIVER kickoff show. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin) to win the tag team titles for a second time.

Prior to NXT Stand & Deliver, Gonzalez and Kai reunited after becoming bitter rivals after their previous break-up as partners. They reunited as partners against common rival Toxic Attraction. This is Gonzalez and Kai’s second reign; were the inaugural champions, having won last year’s edition of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. They were given the new titles on the March 10, 2021 episode of NXT but their reign didn’t last long. Later in the evening, they dropped the titles to the team of Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon.
