Michael Rallis is a 33-year-old wrestler from Edina, Minnesota. Rallis wrestles for the WWE and performs on SmackDown under the ring name, Madcap Moss. He is also the winner of the 2022 André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Rallis attended the University of Minnesota where he played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team between 2008 and 2012. After graduating, he attended a tryout camp with the Miami Dolphins but was not signed to a contract.
Rallis Signs WWE Contract
In October 2013, Rallis attended a WWE tryout after contacting Jim Ross. He signed a developmental contract with WWE in early 2014 and began training at the WWE Performance Center in Florida.
Under the ring name, Digg Rawlis, he made his in-ring debut at a NXT live event in Tampa, Florida on December 18, 2014. He made his televised debut in 2015 on NXT’s May 27 episode where he teamed with Elias Samson in a losing match to Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake. Early on in his NXT career, he mostly wrestled at house shows. His ring name was changed to Riddick Moss and he made a few appearances on NXT before making his debut on Monday Night RAW in 2020.
Known as Mojo Rawley’s offensive lineman, Riddick Moss began accompanying him to ringside and helped Rawley retain the 24/7 Championship. After losing a tag team match alongside Rawley to The Street Profits, Moss turned on Rawley pinning him to become the 24/7 Champion. At one point Moss had the longest 24/7 Championship reign at 41 days, now second to Rob Gronkowski. He lost the title to R-Truth.
On August 10, 2020, Moss debuted on a RAW Underground segment, an underground fight club hosted by Shane McMahon, where he defeated Cal Bloom by knockout. In October, Moss suffered a torn ACL.
Moss’ Return to Action
After being out of WWE action for an entire year, Moss returned from injury by defeating Odyssey Jones in a dark match before the September 17, 2021 episode of SmackDown.
The following week on SmackDown, Moss made his televised return by attacking Kevin Owens and aligning with Happy Corbin. The following week, his ring name was changed to Madcap Moss.
