WWE CLASH IN ITALY PAY-PER-VIEW PREDICTIONS

WWE CLASH IN ITALY MATCH CARD
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther. Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship
This has been a really good pivot for Gunther following Brock Lesnar’s fake retirement. It really feels like Gunther is ready to dethrone someone like Cody Rhodes. The only issue is that it feels like Gunther has to win, because if he loses, then what does he do? He looks like a loser, and it makes the retirements of Cena, Goldberg and Styles all feel meaningless. If Cody loses, he can feud with Sami Zayn or Randy Orton, but Gunther doesn’t have nearly as many options on the SmackDown brand. We believe Gunther will win here because he kind of has to.
Our prediction: Gunther
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill. Singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
This match has a lot of anticipation going into it because it’s very unpredictable. It feels like Jade winning the title back could be good for the storyline, but Rhea just won the title, and it feels weird for her to drop it so soon. Even though it would be cool for Jade to win it back, we’re going to play it safe and predict Rhea Ripley. We believe this could lead to a triple threat with Jade Rhea and Charlotte, so maybe Charlotte helps Rhea win here? Either way, Rhea is probably keeping the title tonight.
Our prediction: Rhea Ripley
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu. Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship
In another very unpredictable match, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu could both realistically walk out with the title here. There are very compelling arguments for both guys. For Roman, he just won the title a bit ago, and he needs some wins right now. As for Jacob, he has some awesome momentum right now, and this would be the end of it if he loses here. Since we believe Gunther is winning the other world title earlier in the night, we don’t see Jacob winning here as well, unfortunately.
Our prediction: Roman Reigns
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sol Ruca. Singles match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Everyone seems pretty adamant that Sol Ruca is winning here. While we would like that, she is extremely talented, but she isn’t as over as WWE wants her to be with the audience. A win over Becky Lynch could change that, but if you ask us, it feels a little too early. Either way, this should be a really fun match, and we believe that Becky Lynch is going to retain.
Our prediction: Becky Lynch
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar. Singles match
Brock Lesnar returned and attacked Oba Femi a few weeks ago on Raw to the shock of everyone, and now his feud with Oba Femi is being reignited to the excitement of us at home. It doesn’t feel very in character for Brock Lesnar to come back and lose a match, so unfortunately we believe that he will be getting his win back over Oba Femi. Not that it’s a horrible thing, but we’d really love it if Oba Femi went 3-0 over Brock Lesnar in the future, but we don’t see that happening. We think Brock Lesnar will win to set up a final match in this trilogy at SummerSlam.
Our prediction: Brock Lesnar
