WWE’s Royal Rumble 2024 pay-per-view event took place on Saturday, January 27, 2024 and was held at the Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida.
ROYAL RUMBLE 2024 MATCH CARD
Bayley won by last eliminating Liv Morgan. 30-woman Royal Rumble match for a women’s championship match at WrestleMania XL

The women’s Royal Rumble match this year was the best of its kind with a full roster that isn’t dependent on legends of the past. Naomi made her grand return and Jordynne Grace made a one off cameo but the true star was the winner Bayley who even eliminated a returning Liv Morgan to earn her first rumble victory. Jade Cargill also made her debut and looked like a mega star in doing so. Great rumble with the correct choice of winner. Hopefully this will lead to Iyo Sky vs Bayley at WrestleMania.
Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) defeated AJ Styles, LA Knight, and Randy Orton. Fatal four-way match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

This match was good, but a little underwhelming. It ended right as it started getting good. The worst part is that Roman Reigns still needed the help of Solo Sikoa to win. The decision to always have The Bloodline help out Roman Reigns makes him look weak. Randy Orton looked great having an actual wrestling match at a big event, and LA Knight didn’t stand out at all he feels like a main eventer. The right man took the pin, that man being AJ Styles, and hopefully this sets up AJ Styles vs LA Knight for the Elimination Chamber event. The right man won this match but the way it happened was boring.
Logan Paul (c) defeated Kevin Owens. Singles match for the WWE United States Championship

This match was actually really fun until the ending. This was Logan Paul’s first match that wasn’t big move after big move, it was a technical bout that showed how versatile Logan can be as a performer. The match had a bad ending however with Kevin Owens stealing Paul’s brass knuckles and then getting caught with them thus Logan wins by disqualification. Bad finish to an otherwise great match. The rematch will be amazing.
Cody Rhodes won by last eliminating CM Punk. 30-man Royal Rumble match for a world championship match at WrestleMania XL

OUR PREDICTION: CM PUNK

The Royal Rumble match this year kicked off with Jey Uso facing off against Jimmy Uso and that was an amazing moment to kick off the rumble. Pat McAfee wasted an entry slot and eliminated himself. Andrade, Omos, and Sami Zayn all returned. Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were the final two of the match and had an awful final few minutes with Punk looking slow. Cody Rhodes eliminated Punk in the end to become the first two time Rumble winner since Austin in the 90s. Great rumble match with the right winner in hindsight if CM Punk is now injured.
