WWE is advertising the 25th Anniversary celebration for D-Generation X on the October 10th episode of RAW. It will take place in the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York. On Friday, the venue posted to social media that WWE will celebrate 25-years of DX on the show.
D-Generation X originated in the midst of the WWF’s “Attitude Era” in August 1997 as a foil to The Hart Foundation. Originally, the faction consisted of its founding members Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna and Rick Rude. Then the group expanded to become a mainstay of the Attitude Era with new additions X-Pac, The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn), and Tori until it disbanded in August 2000.
Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Road Dogg continue to work for WWE. Triple H was promoted to the company’s Chief Content Officer on September 6th 2022. Shawn Michaels also received a promotion and is now WWE’s SVP of talent development creative. Road Dogg was also recently re-hired by WWE and is now the senior VP of live events.
