CHANCE & CARTER TO DEFEND TITLES AT WORLDS COLLIDE

NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter will defend their titles this weekend at NXT’s Worlds Collide. Their challengers will be WWE’s tag team, Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. After winning a non-title match on this week’s episode of NXT 2.0, the tag team champions cut a promo claiming there were no challengers for them at the upcoming pay-per-view. Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. then challenged the champions to a match which was accepted.

Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop, formerly known as Piper Niven, have been a tag team since May. The Scottish tag team hasn’t had a lot of success on the RAW brand over the past few months. They only just recently had their first win as a tag team by defeating Dana Brooke and Tamina on the August 25 edition of “Main Event.”

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter won the WWE’s NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions on the August 2nd episode of NXT 2.0. They captured the titles in a four-way elimination match.

WWE’s NXT Worlds Collide takes place on Sunday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m. ET, streaming live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network internationally.
