SETH ROLLINS ATTACKED BY FAN AT MONDAY NIGHT RAW

On last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Seth Rollins was attacked by an out of control fan. Twenty-four-year-old Elisah Spencer jumped the barricade and assaulted Rollins at ringside. Last night’s RAW broadcast was live at the Barclay’s Center in New York and footage from the event shows Spencer tackling Rollins to the floor. The pair remained on the floor until security and WWE officials quickly separated them. Rollins did not sustain any serious injuries from the attack.

Elisah Spencer, who hails from Brooklyn, was then turned over to NYPD police and arrested. Spencer has been charged with attempted assault and disrupting a live sporting event. According to the New York Post, Spencer was released on a desk appearance ticket.

WWE issued the following statement: “WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

TMZ posted an interview on its website with Rollins today after he had landed in Los Angeles. He told TMZ, “It’s terrifying, brother,” Rollins said, providing a play-by-play of the incident.

“It happened very quickly. I was mostly just reacting and hoping that our security would come and do their job. Which they did very quickly. And then was just trying to detach and move on. Hope that everybody is okay.” Check out the interview here:
