WWE LEGEND SUPER PORKY DIES AT 58

WWE Legend Super Porky passed away on Monday, July 26th at his home in Mexico City. Super Porky, whose real name is José Luis Alvarado Nieves wrestled for WWE briefly from 2005 to 2006. Alvarado suffered a heart attack.

Alvarado made his wrestling debut as “Brazo De Plata” in 1977 as a masked wrestler. He worked mainly in tag team matches with his brother who worked as Brazo de Oro and in trios action with another brother known simply as El Brazo. Together they wrestled all over Mexico and even made appearances in Los Angeles for NWA Hollywood Wrestling. In NWA Hollywood Wrestling, they won the NWA Americas Tag Team Championship in 1981. The brothers also were the last title holders of the NWA World Tag Team Championship in 1982.

Alvarado debuted for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 1985. In 2005, he debuted for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was part of the SmackDown! brand’s short-lived Juniors Division until 2006. He then began wrestling for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide after leaving WWE and wrestled also on the independent circuit until 2021.
