ZELINA VEGA RETURNS TO WWE

Zelina Vega returned to WWE SmackDown last night. Vega was released from her contract with the WWE back in November 2020. On last night’s show, it was announced that she would be competing in the 2021 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on July 18, 2021. She also made her in-ring return last night in a losing match to Liv Morgan.

Prior to her release last November, Zelina Vega (Thea Megan Trinidad Büdgen) was drafted to the SmackDown brand in October 2020. After being released by WWE on November 13th, she tweeted her support for unionization in professional wrestling. There were also reports that her release was due to her stance against the WWE “requiring talents to acquiesce control” of their accounts on third-party platforms.
