NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic Announced
During tonight’s NXT New Year’s Evil special, William Regal (NXT’s General Manager) announced that the first ever WWE NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament will take place soon. No date has been set at this time.
The NXT Men’s 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic now has eight official teams registered for the tournament. The teams to take part in the men’s tournament include:
- The Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson)
- Ever-Rise (Chase Parker, Matt Martel)
- The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong)
- Breezango (Fandango, Tyler Breeze)
- Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza)
- Imperium (Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner)
- Drake Maverick and Killian Dain
- Curt Stallion and August Grey
There’s no word yet on if there will be more teams added. The first two Dusty Rhodes Classic tournaments had 16 tag teams but the rest had eight tag teams per tournament since. The men’s tournament is set to start on next week’s NXT episode.
