James Harris, better known as WWE Superstar, “Kamala,” passed away on August 9th at the age of 70 years old.
Harris had tested positive for COVID-19 on August 5th and was hospitalized. According to sources, Harris likely contracted coronavirus from one of his numerous weekly visits to a dialysis center. He started to experience complications from his diabetes and went into cardiac arrest on August 9, 2020, and passed away that afternoon.
Kamala was a popular WWF (now WWE) Superstar in the ’80s and early ’90s. Harris portrayed Kamala as a fierce, Ugandan wrestler who wore an African mask to the ring and wrestled in a loin cloth and bare footed.
Kamala wrestled superstars like Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker. He retired from wrestling in 2010.
