WRESTLEMANIA HISTORY
WrestleMania is WWE’s premier annual live wrestling event, held between mid-March and mid-April. Organized by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)—the world’s largest professional wrestling promotion—WrestleMania is the most successful and longest-running wrestling event in history.
First launched in 1985, WrestleMania has grown into a global spectacle, attracting millions of viewers each year. The event was created by former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, with the iconic name coined by legendary ring announcer and WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel.
WrestleMania is traditionally broadcast via pay-per-view (PPV) and has been available for streaming on the WWE Network since 2014, and on Peacock (in the U.S.) since 2021.
