WrestleMania 35 took place on April 7, 2019, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. There were 16 matches held at WrestleMania 35, including 4 matches on the kickoff pre-show. The event included the first-ever women’s main event match in WrestleMania history. It was also the first WrestleMania since WrestleMania 2000 to not feature The Undertaker.
In the main event, Becky Lynch defeated Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a Winner Takes All triple threat match to win both championships. SmackDown’s match event match saw Kofi Kingston defeat Daniel Bryan to win his first WWE Championship. In the opening bout, which was a main match from RAW, Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar to win his first Universal Championship.
