WWE BACKLASH 2025 PAY-PER-VIEW PREDICTIONS

WWE BACKLASH 2025 MATCH CARD
John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton. Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship
John Cena and Randy Orton for the last time ever will be the main event of the show, and it’s a predictable one. John Cena will most likely hold this title until the end of the retirement tour, and it just makes no sense for him to lose it now. The match itself should hopefully be good despite both of these guys being past their prime. We’re just all happy we’re seeing this one final time, and with reversed roles.
OUR PREDICTION: JOHN CENA
Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch Singles match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Ever since returning at WrestleMania, it’s been pretty obvious where this is going, although Becky Lynch turned on Lyra way sooner than we all thought. We assumed that they’d be loosing the tag titles here, but they lost them on Raw. Becky Lynch will most likely win here to set up a rivalry between her and Bayley for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Lyra has been a good champ so far, but Becky Lynch winning that title can give it much needed prestige.
OUR PREDICTION: BECKY LYNCH
Pat McAfee vs Gunther. Singles match
Gunther needs to destroy Pat McAfee in this match following the ending of his WrestleMania match. We believe this match is happening strictly to make Gunther look dominant, and we don’t think it’s going to last long. Either way, whether it lasts long or not, we don’t see McAfee winning.
OUR PREDICTION: GUNTHER
Jacob Fatu (c) vs. LA Knight vs. Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre Fatal four-way match for the WWE United States Championship
This fatal four way could very much be the match of the night. However it’s another obvious one to keep the card filled, as we all know Fatu isn’t loosing the title anytime soon, and we could even see him beating Dean Ambrose’s record of being the longest reigning United States Champion in history. McIntyre and Priest are most likely going to continue their own rivalry leaving LA Knight to get pinned by Fatu again in this match with Fatu retaining.
OUR PREDICTION: JACOB FATU
Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Penta Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
A very last minute edition to the card, Penta vs Dominik for the Intercontinental Championship should be really good but it’s obvious Dom is winning. They’ve been setting up feud with Finn Balor and AJ Styles for Dominik and it would be weird for him to lose the title before those happen. Dominik Mysterio also just won’t the title and we don’t see him losing it for a bit.
OUR PREDICTION: DOMINIK MYSTERIO
