Stephanie McMahon has resigned from WWE as Co-CEO

In a surprise turn of events, Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from WWE on social media (see below). She also announced that her father, Vince McMahon, has been named executive chairman for the company.

Stephanie’s statement also said that Nick Khan will become the sole CEO of WWE and Paul Levesque will remain Chief Content Officer. WWE also announced in a press release that WWE’s board of Directors unanimously voted Vince McMahon as executive chairman of the board. On Stephanie’s resignation, Vince McMahon stated, ““First, I’d like to express my full support for Stephanie’s personal decision. I’ll forever be grateful that she offered to step in during my absence and I’m truly proud of the job she did co-leading WWE. Stephanie has always been the ultimate ambassador for our company, and her decades of contributions have left an immeasurable impact on our brand.”
