MANDY ROSE LOSES NXT TITLE, RELEASED FROM WWE NEXT DAY
Mandy Rose Loses WWE Contract But Earns $500k In Subscription
After losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez on the December 13th episode of NXT, Mandy Rose was released from her contract with the WWE the following day. Apparently, Rose was let go from WWE because she had posted racy photos and video of herself on her FanTime page (a website similar to Only Fans). Mandy Rose, who real name is Amanda Rose Saccomanno, has worked for WWE since 2015. She was the NXT Women’s champion for over 400 days.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE felt that Mandy Rose had violated her contract terms by promoting herself on FanTime. “She’s had the subscription service, and it got popular and lucrative. She went further and further, and the feeling was that she way, way, way crossed the line. They believe that they had absolutely no choice but to get rid of her in that situation. Again, everyone’s situation is different. They promised sponsors a cleaner product as far as who the people are.”
The match between Mandy Rose and Roxanne Perez was originally scheduled to take place at New Year’s Evil on January 10th, 2023. Perez beat Rose clean in the main event. WWE has not publicly made a statement about Rose’s release but they have moved her to the alumni page on their website.
