WWE REPORTEDLY CANCELS DAY 1 PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT

WWE Day 1 pay-per-view event

WWE’s Day 1 pay-per-view event has reportedly been cancelled. According to a report from the website, Wrestlenomics, Day 1 is not going to be re-branded and WWE does not have a pay-per-view scheduled between Survivor Series on November 26 and Royal Rumble on January 28. Day 1 was supposed to take place on January 1st 2023 at The State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observed addressed the pay-per-view event’s cancellation: “Brandon Thurston reported Day 1 has been canceled. There were conflicts with major football games in Atlanta on 12/31 and 1/1. We’d been told a few weeks ago it could be moved but Thurston reported no PPVs between Survivor Series and Rumble. WWE hasn’t confirmed,” Meltzer said.

Neither WWE nor representatives from State Farm Arena have commented on the cancellation.
