WWE has announced another new match for its upcoming pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules. Bianca Belair will defend her WWE RAW Women’s Championship against Bayley. The match at Extreme Rules will be a brutal ladder match between these long-time rivals.
Bayley made her return to WWE at SummerSlam alongside Dakota Kai and IYO SKY and have since been calling themselves, Damage CTRL. Bayley immediately set her sights on Bianca Belair and the RAW Women’s title. Damage CTRL has been dominating the women’s division since their debut and garnered a huge win in their Six-Woman Tag Team Match when Bayley became the first person to ever pin Bianca Belair in over 300 days.
Team Damage CTRL has continued to dominate their competition. Dakota Kai and IYO SKY won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on September 12th when they defeated Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez. After Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss in one-on-one competition, Damage CTRL turned their attention to Bianca Belair as she attempted to rescue her fallen friend from a 3-on-1 beatdown. But, Belair fell victim to the numbers game as Bayley laid down a challenge for WWE Extreme Rules.
Will Bianca Belair retain at Extreme Rules? Or, will Bayley become the new RAW Women’s Champion? Find out at WWE Extreme Rules on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else.
