CLASH AT THE CASTLE 2022 MATCH PREDICTIONS
WWE Clash at the Castle is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by the WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion’s RAW and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
CLASH AT THE CASTLE MATCH PREDICTIONS
Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Drew McIntyre. Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
This match is the hardest of the night to predict. For the first time ever, Roman feels beatable. It feels like there is a little bit of weakness within The Bloodline, and Drew McIntyre is looking stronger than ever. But there is only one problem with this being that The Usos are still the tag team champions. You would think that The Usos would drop the tag team titles before Roman loses his belt, right? So sadly, we still believe that Drew McIntyre will fall to The Tribal Chief, and Reigns will walk out with both belts on his shoulders.
OUR PREDICTION: ROMAN REIGNS
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler. Singles match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
With Triple H back in control, we have high hopes for the future of Shayna Baszler. Shayna Baszler is sadly just a filler challenger for Liv Morgan before Ronda Rousey comes back to have a final match with her. We think that match will result with Ronda Rousey becoming a 2 time SmackDown Women’s Champion. We will have to wait and see, but at Clash at the Castle, Liv Morgan is walking out with her title.
OUR PREDICTION: LIV MORGAN
Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka vs. Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky. Six-woman tag team match
After the ending of the Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament on RAW this past week, Bayley and her team need this victory, especially to set up Bayley vs Bianca Belair. This should lead to Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky getting a rematch for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, and winning them. This should be a fun match and we’re going to assume it’ll open the show. A big win for Bayley is what’s needed here.
OUR PREDICTION: BAYLEY, DAKOTA KAI & IYO SKY
Matt Riddle vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Singles match
This will most likely be the match of the night. After that promo on RAW the other night, it’s probably the one we’re looking forward to the most. The outcome for this one should be pretty obvious though. Seth Rollins has to walk out with the win here. He has had a terrible record this year when it comes to Premium Live Event matches. He lost at Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania, WrestleMania Backlash, Hell in a Cell, and Money in the Bank. Riddle can beat Seth Rollins in the rematch, but tonight Seth Rollins needs that win.
OUR PREDICTION: SETH ROLLINS
Gunther (c) (with Ludwig Kaiser) vs. Sheamus (with The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch)). Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
This is another match that could steal the show. These two are going to go out there and have a war over the Intercontinental Championship. This is the first time that the Intercontinental title has been defended on PPV since WrestleMania 37 last year. As much as we would love Sheamus to win and become a Grand Slam Champion, Gunther has been too good lately and probably won’t be losing to Sheamus.
OUR PREDICTION: GUNTHER
Edge and Rey Mysterio (with Dominik Mysterio) vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) (with Rhea Ripley). Tag Team match
As soon as Triple H became the head of creative, The Judgment Day have felt stronger, and this might be the way to make them one of the best tag teams in the industry right now, by having them beat Edge and Rey Mysterio tonight. Imagine the stadium exploding as Finn Balor pins Edge to score his team the victory, and this can lead to Edge vs Finn Balor at the next event. This should be a great match, especially with the added possibility of Dominik Mysterio turning heel on his father after it. The Judgment Day are winning.
OUR PREDICTION: JUDGEMENT DAY
