RUMOR: WWE INTERESTED IN RE-SIGNING BRONSON REED

Bronson Reed returning to WWE?

Rumor has it that WWE may be bringing back another former NXT Champion – Bronson Reed. With Triple H (Paul Levesque) as the Head of Talent Relations and running WWE Creative, several recently released stars have returned to WWE.

While the company has not confirmed Bronson Reed’s return, there has been a lot of talk recently that WWE is interested in bringing him back. Reed, whose real name is Jermaine Haley, is currently wrestling with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) under the ring name JONAH. Haley reported to the WWE’s Performance Center in January 2019 and made his in-ring television debut in July. In May 2021, he beat Johnny Gargano in a steel cage match to win the NXT North American Championship. His reign lasted 42 days.

Since Vince McMahon left in July, NXT superstars including members of Hit Row, Karrion Kross and Scarlett, Dakota Kai and Johnny Gargano have returned.

Other New WWE Re-Hires

In addition to the re-hiring of several on-screen talent, Triple H has also re-hired Brian “Road Dogg” James for the role of “WWE VP of Live Events.” Long time WWE fans will recall Brian James is one of Triple H’s closest friends and is also a member of D’Generation X. James has an impressive wrestling career and performed with WWF/WWE from 1994 to 2001. He then wrestled for various independent wrestling promotions but returned to WWE in 2011 and performed until 2014. James then became a producer and writer for the company. From 2019 to January 2022, James held a position at the WWE Performance Center teaching classes on in-ring promos and character development.
