EDGE TEASES WWE RETIREMENT IN 2023 ON RAW

WWE's Edge

On last night’s exciting episode of Monday Night RAW in Toronto, Edge (real name Adam Copeland) addressed the live audience after his win in the show’s main event against Damian Priest. In his speech, Edge revealed that he plans to hang up his wresting tights forever in the next year. He told the audience at the ScotiaBank Arena that he plans to retire after WWE’s next event in Toronto.

“I’m looking at the calendar, and we usually come here in August. So next August, I plan on seeing each and every one of you. And in a perfect world, we all say goodbye to each other that night.” Edge said. “Hey, but that’s okay man, this is the place for me to do it, okay?”

Fans will recall that Edge returned to WWE in January 2020 at the annual Royal Rumble. It was his first match in nine years after he was medically disqualified from continuing his WWE in-ring career in 2011 as a result of spinal stenosis.
