KARRION KROSS & SCARLETT RETURN TO WWE

Karrion Kross returned to WWE tonight on Friday Night SmackDown. Since Triple H is now in charge of WWE Creative, it’s not surprising that he would bring back the former NXT Champion. On tonight’s episode, Kross, with his wife Scarlett Bordeaux, interrupted Drew McIntyre’s confrontation with The Bloodline and attacked him. McIntyre is set to face Roman Reigns at September’s pay-per-view event, Clash at the Castle, and was about to brawl with The Usos and Reigns before Kross attacked him.

Fans will recall that Karrion Kross was moved up to the WWE main roster last July while he was still NXT Champion. At his debut, he was defeated by Jeff Hardy in a non-title match which also marked his first pinfall loss in WWE. This was controversial, with many critics and audiences complaining that this result damaged the formidable character of Kross due to losing in less than two minute. Kross then debuted a new look in August where he wore a gladiator helmet and suspenders in his entrance. His new attire and character direction was further criticized, with many deeming these changes unnecessary and poorly thought out. In November, both Kross and Bordeaux were released from their contracts.
