On tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW, WWE hosted a qualifying battle royal to secure one of the two final spots for this weekend’s pay-per-view. In total, there were 20 WWE superstars from both RAW and SmackDown competing. Pinfalls, submissions and KOs were allowed but the only way to eliminate someone was to be thrown over the top rope. The only other way would be to knock the competitor onto the ground from outside of the ring should they have voluntarily gone over the top rope.
Tonight’s battle royal lasted more than 20 minutes and in the end, it came down to just Riddle and The Miz. Riddle hit an RKO on the ring apron to become the last survivor left standing. This is a big win for Riddle who lost to Roman Reigns on SmackDown and also lost to Omos in the qualifying match for Money in the Bank.
Riddle will face Seth Rollins, Omos, Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and one additional competitor who has not yet been named.
