RUMOR: RODERICK STRONG REQUESTS RELEASE FROM WWE

Roderick Strong has reportedly asked WWE to release him from his contract with the WWE. Fightful.com reported this news/rumor today about Strong requesting his release but that it was not accepted by WWE.

Roderick Strong signed with WWE in October 2016. He has spent his entire time in the WWE as part of the NXT brand. Strong, whose real name is Christopher Lyndsey, is 38 years old and has been wrestling since 2000. He has held the NXT North American Championship once, the WWE Cruiserweight Championship once and the NXT Tag Team Title Championship twice.

Fans will recall that WWE released several NXT Superstars last week including Dexter Lumis, Dakota Kai, Malcolm Bivens and seven other superstars.
