JOHN CENA TO STAR IN NEW ACTION COMEDY MOVIE

John Cena is set to star in a huge action-comedy movie called “Officer Exchange.” According to Deadline, the movie is now under production at Amazon Studios. In the movie, Cena plays the character, “Shep” a cop who heads to India and teams with a local officer to hunt down diamond smugglers.

Peter Safran and John Rickard, producers of HBO Max’s Peacemaker, will be producing Officer Exchange for Amazon. John Cena will also be executive producing the project. The Officer Exchange’s script is written by Ben Zazove and Evan Turner.

The Safran Company and Cena’s Peacemaker debuted in this past February on HBO Max with rave reviews. Peacemaker scored the biggest single day viewership performance for HBO. While John Cena is still listed on WWE’s roster, he is not a full-time performer for the company. His last match on WWE TV was at WWE’s SummerSlam 2021 where he lost to WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
