NEW WWE DAY 1 MATCH ANNOUNCED
WWE DAY 1 is the next upcoming professional wrestling event scheduled to take place on January 1, 2022, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Day 1 is the WWE’s first PPV event to take place on New Year’s Day. The latest match to be announced for Day 1 is The Miz vs. WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
The feud between Edge and The Miz started last week when they both returned to RAW for an in-ring confrontation. On tonight’s RAW, The Miz invited Edge to be part of MizTV and after the two went back and forth on the mic, The Miz challenged Edge to a match at Day 1. Edge accepted the challenge and ended the segment by punching The Miz in the mouth.
WWE Day 1 will mark the fourth singles match between Edge and The Miz, but it will be their first pay-per-view match.
