WWE fans won’t have to wait much longer for Netflix’s highly anticipated documentary on WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon. Stephanie McMahon, WWE’s Chief Brand Officer, recently attended the annual March of Dimes Sport Luncheon and was interviewed by Adam’s Apple. During the interview, McMahon shared that the documentary about her father is upcoming.
“It’s scheduled to release next year in 2022. The timing is still TBD,” McMahon said. She also said she was nervous about the documentary. “I am equal parts excited and really nervous. I don’t know what it’s going to say, but it’s going to capture his life and his story, which so richly deserves to be told.”
WWE first announced the creation of the documentary on Vince McMahon last year. It will be executive produced by Bill Simmons, founder of The Ringer and co-creator of ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary series. Chris Smith will direct the documentary. Stay tuned for more details.
