EXTREME RULES 2021 – MATCH CARD
Liv Morgan vs Carmella. Singles match
OUR PREDICTION: LIV MORGAN
WINNER: LIV MORGAN
OUR RATING: 7/10
This was a short but simple match. It was right to the point and it finally gave Liv Morgan a well deserved win. Carmella has improved so much in the past year as well and these two put on a really good match. The match ended after Liv Morgan hit Carmella with a backstabber.
The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, and Omos. Six-man tag team match
OUR PREDICTION: THE NEW DAY
WINNER: THE NEW DAY
OUR RATING: 6/10
This was a pretty good match but it was too long. We wouldn’t care for this match if it were on Monday Night Raw so why should we care here? The match was still good and delivered with the actions. It was amazing to see The New Day together again as well as Big E as champion. Big E won for his team with The Big Ending.
The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). Tag Team match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship
OUR PREDICTION: THE USOS
WINNER: THE USOS
OUR RATING: 8/10
As expected, this was a really good match. These are the two best tag teams in WWE right now and they showed why in this great match. Super fast paced and they kept us interested the whole time. The only downside is that we saw this match on SmackDown a few weeks ago making it a bit less exciting. The match ended with The Usos hitting a double splash on Montez Ford for the victory.
Charlotte Flair (c) vs Alexa Bliss. Singles match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship
OUR PREDICTION: ALEXA BLISS
WINNER: CHARLOTTE FLAIR
OUR RATING: 6/10
This was actually a decent match but not much to talk about though. Only downside is that Alexa Bliss should have won here. This was way better than expected and there was no garbage like Alexa Bliss possessing Charlotte Flair or something. Charlotte Flair won this match with Natural Selection. Nothing impressive but still pretty good.
Damian Priest (c) vs Jeff Hardy and Sheamus. Triple Threat match for the WWE United States Championship
OUR PREDICTION: DAMIAN PRIEST
WINNER: DAMIAN PRIEST
OUR RATING: 8/10
This was the match of the night! So many nearfalls and fast-paced action made this a must watch. Something about Triple Threat matches for the mid card championships are great. This match is going up there with Zayn vs Hardy vs Styles and Cesaro vs Ziggler vs Kidd for the best mid card championship Triple Threats. There were times we thought that any of them could win. The match ended with Damian Priest rolling up Sheamus to retain. Overall a great match and we would love to see more between these three.
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair. Singles match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
OUR PREDICTION: BECKY LYNCH
WINNER: NO CONTEST
OUR RATING: 6/10
This match was going really well but the finish was stupid. We get that Sasha Banks attacking both women during the match was to make neither look weak in defeat, but this is a pay-per-view event. We don’t want a stupid finish (more on that later with the main event). We want proper finishes. The match was still really good though and honestly could have been match of the night if it weren’t for the ending. Super excited for the triple threat though.
Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs “The Demon” Finn Bálor. Extreme Rules match for the WWE Universal Championship
OUR PREDICTION: ROMAN REIGNS
WINNER: ROMAN REIGNS
OUR RATING: 4/10
This match was amazing until the end. This also could have been match of the night. Finn took the fight to Reigns and The Usos at the same time and there were times you genuinely thought he would win. The match ended with Finn Balor about to win and jump off the top rope but then it breaks, he falls off and loses after a spear. It was the worst pay-per-view finish we’ve seen in a long time. Worst title defense in Roman’s reign so far.
