SUMMERSLAM 2021 MATCH CARD

RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) vs AJ Styles and Omos (c). Tag Team match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship

OUR PREDICTION: RK-BRO
WINNER: RK-BRO
OUR RATING: 6/10

This was a short match but a really fun opener. Obviously Omos is very limited in the ring but the other three men more than made up for it. Riddle and Randy Orton’s win was a feel good moment and they’re going to hold onto those titles for a while.

Alexa Bliss vs Eva Marie (with Doudrop). Singles match

OUR PREDICTON: ALEXA BLISS
WINNER: ALEXA BLISS
OUR RATING: 1/10

This match sucked. It had hypnotism and dolls – both stupid. There is nothing to say about this match because it was only three minutes of garbage.

Damian Priest vs Sheamus (c). Singles match for the WWE United States Championship

OUR PREDICTON: DAMIAN PRIEST
WINNER: DAMIAN PRIEST
OUR RATING: 7/10

This was a really fun and was the first really good match of the night. These two men have great chemistry in the ring. The match ended with Damian Priest hitting Sheamus with the Reckoning finisher. This was a huge win for Damian Priest and it was very well deserved. Damian Priest is a future world champion.

The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. Tag Team match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

OUR PREDICTON: THE USOS
WINNER: THE USOS
OUR RATING: 5/10

This match was fine but felt super boring. It was probably because we have seen this match every week on SmackDown lately and everyone is sick of it. It was still a good match and The Usos are great tag team champions as well. The match ended with a Superfly Splash to retain the titles.

Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair (c). Singles match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

OUR PREDICTION: BIANCA BELAIR
WINNER: BECKY LYNCH
OUR RATING: 3/10

Becky Lynch returning was a great moment but having her defeat Bianca Belair in under thirty seconds was not. The match ended with a Manhandle Slam. This was not a good idea as now Bianca Belair looks stupid and Becky Lynch looks overpushed. The only reason this isn’t rated 1/10 is because the return was still nice to see.

Drew McIntyre vs Jinder Mahal. Singles Match

OUR PREDICTION: DREW MCINTYRE
WINNER: DREW MCINTYRE
OUR RATING: 3/10

Just an excuse to add Drew McIntyre on the SummerSlam match card. This wasn’t special and was a bathroom break match. Drew McIntyre won the match in just three minutes with a Claymore Kick.

Charlotte Flair vs Nikki A.S.H. (c) and Rhea Ripley. Triple Threat match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship

OUR PREDICTION: NIKKI A.S.H.
WINNER: CHARLOTTE FLAIR
OUR RATING: 6/10

This wasn’t a bad match at all actually, we really enjoyed it. The problem with the match was the winner. No one wanted Charlotte Flair to win this match because she is going to lose the title in a month or two anyways. The match ended after Charlotte Flair locked Nikki A.S.H. in the Figure Eight Leg Lock. Overall a really good match dragged down with a poor winner.

Edge vs Seth Rollins. Singles match

OUR PREDICTON: SETH ROLLINS
WINNER: EDGE
OUR RATING: 9/10

This match was awesome. This was the best match of the night by far. You had no idea who was going to win, it was back and forth the whole time with near fall after near fall. This match also excelled in the storytelling with Rollins going for Edge’s neck over and over again throughout the match. The match ends with Edge making Seth Rollins tap out. Overall the best match of the night with great storytelling and great in ring action.

Bobby Lashley (c) (with MVP) vs Goldberg. Singles Match for the WWE Championship

OUR PREDICTON: BOBBY LASHLEY
WINNER: BOBBY LASHLEY
OUR RATING: 7/10

This match wasn’t horrible. It was short and right to the point and the ending wasn’t bad either. The referee stopped the match due to Goldberg’s knee injury and Lashley kept attacking Goldberg after the match. After this, Goldberg’s son jumped into the ring to help him and it didn’t end up very well for Goldberg’s son as Lashley put him in the Hurt Lock.

Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs John Cena. Singles match for the WWE Universal Championship

OUR PREDICTION: ROMAN REIGNS
WINNER: ROMAN REIGNS
OUR RATING: 8/10

This match was great. It felt big and important and John Cena has improved in the ring over the past few years and it really showed. So many near falls this match and there were parts where you could genuinely think Cena was going to win the title. The long match ended after a big Spear from Roman Reigns. This match was great and sadly Cena is gone from WWE for now but he will be back. Overall a great match and the second best of the night.
