FORMER WCW STAR DAFFNEY UNGER PASSES AWAY
Former WCW Superstar Daffney Unger has passed away at just 46 years old. Unger, whose real name is Shannon Spruill, wrestled for the WCW from 1999 to 2001. Spruill streamed an Instagram Live video in which she threatened suicide, holding what appeared to be a pistol and requesting that her brain be donated for CTE testing. She was found dead the following day.
After her stint with WCW, Daffney wrestled for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling from 2008 to 2011. She also wrestled for Wrestlicious, Shine Wrestling and Ring of Honor Wrestling. During her career, Daffney won the GCW Women’s Championship and the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.
