BROCK LESNAR’S NEW WWE CONTRACT
Becky Lynch wasn’t the only big name to return to WWE this past weekend at SummerSlam 2021. Brock Lesnar, sporting a new beard and ponytail, surprised the WWE Universe at SummerSlam when he confronted Universal Champion Roman Reigns after his successful title defense against John Cena.
Brock Lesnar’s last match was at WrestleMania 36 Night 2 where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. He was then noticeably absent for over a year as his contract with the WWE expired. New reports circulating online at websites like Wrestlinginc.com say that Brock Lesnar has signed a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. Lesnar’s new contract will take him into 2023 and is also believed to be for at least 8 matches. It was noted that the terms of the contract are open to change with further negotiations.
Lesnar’s first match will be against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, with Paul Heyman a big part of the build. There is no word on when that match will happen. Some are speculating that the big match will happen at WWE’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in October. It is also being reported that Lesnar will be a babyface on SmackDown but for now, he is still listed on wwe.com as a member of the company’s RAW brand.
