JOHN CENA RETURNING BEFORE SUMMERSLAM?

There’s lots of rumors online that John Cena will be returning to WWE and the ring before SummerSlam in August. Fightful Select reports that the working plan is for Cena to return on the July 23rd SmackDown episode.

The July 23rd episode of SmackDown is scheduled to take at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. This will be the post-episode to Money In The Bank. There is even some speculation that John Cena could return earlier then next Friday.

Money in the Bank is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 18th, 2021. The MITB pay-per-view event will feature Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending his title against Edge. Cena has been away from WWE TV since losing the Firefly Fun House Match to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.
