Charlotte Flair’s Suspension Storyline

At the end of this week’s Monday Night RAW, the WWE Universe witnessed Superstar Charlotte Flair attack WWE referee, Eddie Orengo after her main event match with Asuka. WWE official Adam Pearce announced after RAW that Charlotte had been fined $100,000 and would be suspended indefinitely.

This ‘kayfabe’ storyline and suspension was written to accommodate Flair’s need to get some “dental work sorted out,” according to Alex McCarthy on the Wrestling Daily podcast. There’s no word yet when Flair will return to in-ring action but apparently she won’t miss much time from television. Charlotte had recently just returned to WWE television after being diagnosed with COVID-19 in March. Rumor also has it that she may be facing Asuka and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match at WrestleMania BackLash pay-per-view on May 16.
