New NXT Title: Women’s Tag Team Championship

Tonight’s NXT episode saw two major announcements by NXT General Manager, William Regal. First, NXT will host a two-day pay-per-view event called NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on April 7 and April 8. The show is the annual event which leads up to the WWE’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania.

The second big announcement was the introduction of a new NXT Championship title: the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. Regal awarded the titles to Dusty Rhodes Invitational winners, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez. After announcing they were better than everyone, Kai and Gonzalez were challenged by Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Regal scheduled the match for later in the show and in a historic win, Blackheart and Moon defeated Kai and Gonzalez to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships!
