Young Rock Premieres Tonight on NBC

The series premiere of Young Rock airs on NBC tonight at 8 p.m. EST. The show is an American sitcom television based on the life of professional wrestler and actor, Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. The Rock).

According to the show’s official web site, Young Rock will feature three different actors to play Dwayne Johnson at different ages from his youth. Bradley Constant was cast as 15-year-old Johnson, Uli Latukefu as 18-20-year-old Johnson, and Adrian Groulx as 10-year-old Johnson. Stacey Leilua has been cast as Johnson’s mother, Ata Johnson. Joseph Lee Anderson plays Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson, and Ana Tuisila as Johnson’s grandmother, Lia Maivia.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has an approval rating of 83% based on 12 critic reviews, with an average rating of 6.92/10.
