New WWE NXT India Brand Launches in 2021

World Wrestling Entertainment is expanding its NXT brand and former WWE champion Jinder Mahal will be a big part of it! Articles on various wrestling web sites like POST and Wrestletalk.com are reporting that NXT India will launch on January 26 (India’s Republic Day), 2021.

Apparently, NXT India’s debut show will host a tournament to determine the brand’s first champion. Wrestlers expected to participate include Jinder Mahal, Indus Sher, Jeet Rama, Gurvinder Singh, Sukhwinder Grewal, Laxmi Kant Rajpoot and The Singh Brothers.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, the tournament will be held at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will air on Sony Sports Network channels in India as well as on the WWE Network. Reports online have also stated that WWE will be building a Performance Center in India that is set to open in 2022.
