SURVIVOR SERIES RECAP & REVIEWS

Inter-brand bragging rights were on the line as champions faced champions, and Team RAW and Team SmackDown battled in Survivor Series Elimination Matches.

Survivor Series: Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns

Survivor Series Matches

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns

OUR PREDICTION: ROMAN REIGNS
WINNER: ROMAN REIGNS
RATING: 7/10

RECAP: This was a really good match with tons of spots. Both men looked really strong heading out of the match. The one big problem with this match is that we have seen it so many times in the past to the point where it doesn’t feel special anymore. The match was still good but Roman and Drew have battled across many different shows. Roman Reigns won the match with a Guillotine Choke submission. Overall good but too repetitive.

RAW Women’s Champion Asuka vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks

PREDICTION: SASHA BANKS
WINNER: SASHA BANKS
RATING: 7/10

RECAP: This match was another really good match as the pace was very fast from the start. The problem was that this match was just like their other ones. There isn’t much to say about this match. They faced on RAW and even faced at events like Extreme Rules and SummerSlam. Sasha Banks won this match though after using a jackknife pin to score a 3 count. Overall a great match but was dragged down due to it being repetitive.

RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits

PREDICTION: THE STREET PROFITS
WINNER: THE STREET PROFITS
RATING: 8/10

RECAP: This was the best match of the night as these two teams are arguably the best WWE has right now and it was the first time seeing these two teams face off. The New Day were billed of the heels of this match as they were taunting The Street Profits but were doing it in a more friendly manner. This match was also very fast-paced and these two teams brought the best out of each other. Montez Ford won the match with a blockbuster off the top rope. Overall the best match of the night and a match that we would definitely love to see again.

United States Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn

PREDICTION: BOBBY LASHLEY
WINNER: BOBBY LASHLEY
RATING: 5/10

RECAP: This was the worst match of the night as Sami Zayn just taunted Bobby Lashley the whole time and whenever Lashley got the upper hand he would dominate. Zayn even tried to get another member of The Hurt Business to hit him so he could win by disqualification but eventually Lashley got a hold of Sami Zayn and got him with the Hurt Lock making him tap out. Over all a boring match that wouldn’t entertain anyone even on an episode or RAW or SmackDown.

5-on-5 Women’s Survivor Series Elimination Match

PREDICTION: TEAM RAW ((Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Lana, Lacey Evans, and Peyton Royce)
WINNER: TEAM RAW

RATING: 7/10

RECAP: This match was just a bit worse than the men’s match but still really good. The eliminations went Bayley from SmackDown, Peyton Royce from RAW, Natalya from SmackDown, Ruby Riott from SmackDown, Lacey Evans from RAW, Liv Morgan from SmackDown, Shayna Baszler from RAW, and the Bianca Belair and Nia Jax got eliminated in a double count out. But during the beginning of the match Lana was told by Nia Jax to stand on the stairs and not tag in the whole time. So after Bianca and Nia got counted out Lana was the sole survivor and won for Team RAW. Overall, a fun match with an okay ending and the Nia and Lana storyline is far from over.

5-on-5 Men’s Survivor Series Elimination Match

PREDICTION: TEAM SMACKDOWN  (Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, King Corbin, Seth Rollins, and Otis)
WINNER: TEAM RAW
RATING: 6/10

RECAP: This was a good match to kick off the show as it was fast paced and pretty enjoyable. The eliminations went Seth Rollins being eliminated first, then Kevin Owens, then King Corbin, then Otis, and lastly Jey Uso. Monday Night Raw got a clean sweep 5-0 but Jey Uso looked pretty strong holding his own against team Raw in a 5 on 1 situation. Overall a good match with fun spots but Team SmackDown looked very weak at the end of it which docks a few points off of the final score.
