Former WWE Wrestler Tracy Smothers Dies at 58

Former professional wrestler, Tracy Smothers, who performed in WWE (then WWF) as Freddie Joe Floyd, has died. He was 58.

Tracy Smothers was best known for his time in World Championship Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, the World Wrestling Federation, and Extreme Championship Wrestling. He held many championships for various promotions during his career including the WCW United States Tag Team Championship, the wZw British Heavyweight Championship, as well as the SMW Heavyweight Championship.

In December 2019, Smothers posted on his Facebook page that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma but that it was not terminal. Smothers passed away on October 28, 2020. RIP
