Sami Zayn Lashes Out at WWE

After Sami Zayn vacated his Intercontinental Championship title last week due to the coronavirus, the WWE scheduled a tournament to determine the new champion which began Friday night on Smackdown.

On Zayn’s Twitter account, he replied to WWE’s tweet about being stripped of the title saying, “I disagree with this decision and no matter what anyone says, I am still undefeated and therefore still the Intercontinental Champion.”

Three days later, Sami Zayn also tweeted his disapproval of the tournament and for the other superstars who will be participating. He wrote, “With the exception of Shinsuke, these men have no self-respect, and it says a lot about them that they were willing to participate in this tournament to begin with.”
