STEPHANIE VAQUER

Ana Stephanie Vaquer González is a 32-year-old Chilean professional wrestler. González is currently signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) where she performs under the ring name, Stephanie Vaquer. She is currently the WWE Women’s World Champion.

Vaquer is also the 2025 WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, a former one-time NXT Women’s Champion and one-time NXT Women’s North American Champion, the only woman to hold both titles simultaneously and successfully defend both titles on the same night.

Stephanie Vaquer’s Early Wrestling Career

Vaquer made her professional wrestling debut at age 15 in February 2009, with her earliest recorded matches taking place in Chile’s Maximo Combate de Lucha in 2010. Early in her career, she wrestled and worked as a valet under the name Dark Angel, later abandoning the ring name out of respect for Sarah Stock.

At the age of 19, Stephanie relocated to Veracruz, Mexico. She trained under renowned luchadores Ricky Marvin, Último Guerrero, Gran Apache, and Villano IV. Between 2012 and 2014, she competed across Mexico for promotions such as Revolución Lucha Libre and Lucha Libre Femenil, challenging for multiple women’s championships. A triple nose fracture suffered during a tour in Mérida forced her into a nearly two-year hiatus from wrestling.

Vaquer returned to international competition in 2018, touring Japan with World Wonder Ring Stardom. She later made her Japanese return in 2022 with Ice Ribbon, also appearing for Pro Wrestling Wave, Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling, and Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling, further establishing her global presence in women’s professional wrestling.

Vaquer’s Wrestling Career (2019–2024)

Vaquer debuted in CMLL in 2019, becoming the promotion’s first female South American wrestler. She won the Occidente Women’s Tag Team Championship and later became the inaugural CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champion with Zeuxis. In 2023, she captured the CMLL World Women’s Championship, defending it successfully before leaving CMLL in 2024.

Vaquer in NXT (2024–2025)

Vaquer signed with WWE in July 2024, joining the NXT brand as the second Chilean woman and third Chilean overall to join the company. She made her in-ring debut at a live event in Mexico City, defeating WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn, and her televised debut on NXT in October 2024, defeating Wren Sinclair. Vaquer quickly established herself as a top competitor, winning a tag team match at Halloween Havoc alongside Giulia.

In January 2025, she became the number one contender for the NXT Women’s North American Championship and captured the title at Vengeance Day by defeating Fallon Henley, becoming the first Chilean and South American woman to win a WWE championship. Vaquer defended the title successfully before challenging NXT Women’s Champion Giulia to a Winner Takes All match at NXT: Roadblock.

At Roadblock, Vaquer defeated Giulia to become the first female double champion in NXT history. She made successful defenses of both titles, including a historic night on March 25, where she retained both championships in a single show, before relinquishing the North American title in April. Vaquer held the NXT Women’s Championship until May 2025, losing it to Jacy Jayne in her final NXT match.

In NJPW and Stardom, Vaquer competed for the Strong Women’s Championship, winning it at Stardom’s 2024 Cinderella Tournament and holding it for 112 days with successful defenses before losing to Mercedes Moné.

She debuted in RevPro in 2024, defending her Strong Women’s Championship, and made her AEW debut the same year, confronting TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and winning her first AEW match against Lady Frost.

Vaquer on RAW (2025–present)

Vaquer debuted on Raw after WrestleMania 41, facing Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky in a no-contest match. On May 30, 2025, Raw general manager Adam Pearce officially announced her as part of the roster. She qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match in June 2025 but did not win.

At Worlds Collide, Vaquer and Lola Vice defeated Chik Tormenta and Dalys, continuing her rivalry from NXT. In July, she won a 20-woman battle royal at Evolution to earn a shot at the Women’s World Championship, though the match was later canceled.

On September 20, 2025, Vaquer defeated Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooza to capture the vacant Women’s World Championship, becoming the first Chilean and South American woman to win a WWE world title. She later won the WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship at Crown Jewel by defeating Tiffany Stratton. Vaquer successfully defended her Women’s World Championship against Nikki Bella at Survivor Series: WarGames and in a triple-threat match against Raquel Rodriguez on RAW.
