Liv Morgan Returns to Singles Competition
After Survivor Series, Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan began a tag team winning streak. At WrestleMania 37’s Night One, they challenged for a shot at the tag team titles but failed to win. Ruby Riott was released from the company on June 2, 2021, which disbanded the Riott Squad for a second time.
On the June 4th episode of SmackDown, Liv Morgan returned to singles competition by facing Carmella in a losing effort. The following week, they had a rematch in which Morgan was finally able to defeat Carmella and later said the same night, that she has eyes on the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Liv Morgan took issue with Sonya Deville for adding Carmella and a returning Zelina Vega to the women’s ladder match at Money in the Bank. She defeated Carmella and Vega in singles matches before she took Carmella’s spot in the ladder match.
On the September 17th episode of Smackdown, Morgan teamed with Toni Storm to take on Zelina Vega and Carmella. The match ended via count out, which then lead to Morgan challenging Carmella to a match at Extreme Rules. Liv Morgan lost to Carmella.
Liv Morgan Drafted To RAW
As part of the WWE Draft in October 2021, Morgan was drafted to WWE’s RAW brand. Later that month, Morgan entered the Queen’s Crown tournament. She lost to Carmella in the first round.
On the November 8th edition of RAW, Morgan won a Fatal 5-Way match to earn a RAW Women’s Championship match which was held by Becky Lynch. Morgan then received her title match against Lynch in the December 6 episode of RAW, where Lynch retained the title. In a rematch at WWE Day 1, Lynch defeated Morgan again.
Morgan Wins Money in the Bank & Gold
On the June 13th episode of RAW, Morgan teamed with Alexa Bliss to defeat Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. in a tag team match to qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
At the event, on July 2, Morgan won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. This granted her a guaranteed match of her choice for either the RAW or SmackDown Women’s Championship. Just hours after her win, Liv Morgan cashed in her Money in the Bank contract. She then defeated SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey to win the title. A rematch between Morgan and Rousey was set for SummerSlam on July 30th. Morgan retained the title at SummerSlam.
At Clash at the Castle on September 3, Liv Morgan retained the title against Shayna Baszler. On the September 9th episode of SmackDown, Ronda Rousey won a fatal five-way elimination match earning a rematch against Morgan at Extreme Rules. The following week, Morgan challenged Rousey to an Extreme Rules match for the title. Rousey accepted the challenged. At the event on October 8, Morgan lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship back to Rousey. Her reign lasted 98 days.
Liv Morgan Enters Royal Rumble 2023
Liv Morgan entered the women’s Royal Rumble match at the January 28, 2023. She entered at #2 and lasted over one hour before being the last one eliminated by the match’s winner and first entrant Rhea Ripley. She then took part in the women’s Elimination Chamber match on February 18, but was eliminated by Natalya and Asuka.
At Night 2 of WrestleMania 39, Morgan teamed with Raquel Rodriguez to take part in the women’s WrestleMania Showcase fatal four-way tag team match. The following night on RAW, Liv Morgan teamed with Rodriguez again to defeat Damage CTRL in a number one contenders match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The match was scheduled for the following week against reigning champions Lita and Becky Lynch.
Morgan & Rodriguez Win Tag Team Championship
On the April 10 episode of Monday Night RAW, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won their title match and became the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. As part of the WWE 2023 Draft, Liv Morgan and Rodriguez were drafted to Monday Night RAW.
On the May 19th episode of SmackDown, Morgan and Rodriguez had to vacate the titles due to Morgan’s injury. Their reign lasted 39 days. She returned from her injury on the June 23rd episode of SmackDown. On July 1st at the Money in the Bank, Morgan and Rodriguez defeated Baszler and Rousey for the titles. On the July 17 episode of RAW, Morgan and Rodriguez lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green. This ended their second reign at 16 days. The following week, Morgan was scheduled to face Ripley. But, the match didn’t start because Ripley viciously attacked Morgan with a steel chair. This was done to write Morgan off television, as she suffered another shoulder injury.
Liv Morgan Returns to WWE
Liv Morgan returned after a six month absence at the 2024 Royal Rumble. She entered the Royal Rumble match at number 30. Morgan went on to be runner-up in the match for a second year in a row. She eliminated Zoey Stark and Jade Cargill, before being eliminated by the winner, Bayley. She then took part in the women’s Elimination Chamber match, but was the last woman eliminated by Becky Lynch.
On the April 8th episode of RAW, Morgan attacked Rhea Ripley in a backstage segment. As a result, Ripley legitimately injured her right arm and was forced to vacate the Women’s World Championship. Over the next few weeks, Morgan began to display more villainous traits. At King and Queen of the Ring on May 25th in Saudi Arabia, Morgan defeated Lynch to win the title for the second time after accidental interference from Dominik Mysterio.
Two nights after her successful title defense at WWE Clash at the Castle, Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch once again. This time inside a steel cage on Monday Night Raw—thanks to another accidental interference from Dominik Mysterio. After the match, Morgan shocked the WWE Universe by kissing Dominik in the ring. The following week, she escalated her pursuit of Dominik, convinced that his interference was intentional. However, The Judgment Day tried to keep the two apart.
On the June 24 episode of RAW, Morgan assisted Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh in capturing the World Tag Team Championship from Awesome Truth (The Miz and R-Truth). Two weeks later, Rhea Ripley made her long-awaited return, prompting Morgan to flee the ring as Ripley confronted Dominik. The next week, Ripley challenged Morgan to a match for the WWE Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam. Morgan, appearing via video, accepted the challenge.
Liv Morgan Joins the Judgment Day
At SummerSlam on August 3, Liv Morgan defeated Rhea Ripley to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship. After the match, Dominik Mysterio turned on Ripley and kissed Morgan. On the following RAW, Morgan officially joined The Judgment Day as Ripley and Damian Priest were ousted. At Bash in Berlin, Morgan and Mysterio lost to Ripley and Priest in a mixed tag match. At Bad Blood, Morgan retained her title against Ripley via disqualification after Raquel Rodriguez returned and aligned with her.
Liv Morgan Wins Crown Jewel Championship
At Crown Jewel, Morgan defeated Nia Jax to win the inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship with help from Mysterio and Rodriguez. On RAW, Morgan and Rodriguez failed to capture the Women’s Tag Team Titles from Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. At Survivor Series: WarGames, Morgan’s team lost, with Ripley pinning her. Morgan rebounded at Saturday Night’s Main Event, defeating IYO SKY to retain. Her 226-day reign ended at RAW’s Netflix premiere, where she lost the title to Ripley despite interference from her allies.
Following her title loss, Liv Morgan shifted focus to the tag team division, forming an exclusive partnership with Raquel Rodriguez. At the Royal Rumble on February 1, Morgan entered at #2, lasted over an hour, and eliminated Natalya and Alexa Bliss before being eliminated by Nia Jax. On the February 24 episode of Raw, Morgan and Rodriguez captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship for a record-setting third time, defeating Bianca Belair and Naomi with help from Dominik Mysterio. Although they lost the titles to Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41, they reclaimed the gold in a rematch the following night on RAW. Morgan and Rodriguez later defended their titles successfully on the April 22 episode of NXT, defeating Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley.
