Professional Wrestling Career
On December 2, 2020, Anriel Howard signed with WWE. She made her televised debut on the September 21, 2021 episode of NXT, appearing as Lash Legend in a backstage segment with Franky Monet. A week later, she launched her recurring talk show segment, Lashing Out with Lash Legend. Her in-ring debut came on the December 10 episode of 205 Live, where she defeated Amari Miller.
In February 2022, Legend and Miller entered the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic but were eliminated in the first round by Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray. On March 8, during NXT: Roadblock, Legend interviewed Nikkita Lyons, which sparked a heated feud. She faced Lyons on the April 5 and 26 episodes of NXT, losing both matches. At Spring Breakin’, she teamed with Natalya in a losing effort against Cora Jade and Lyons. Later, she competed in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, advancing to the semifinals before being defeated by Roxanne Perez.
Over the next few months, Legend recorded losses to Fallon Henley, Wendy Choo, Shotzi, and Lyra Valkyria. By August 2022, she began teaming with Jakara Jackson at live events. The duo made their first televised appearance on the November 11 episode of NXT Level Up. They lost to Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley.
At NXT Battleground on May 28, 2023, Legend and Jackson interfered in Noam Dar’s Heritage Cup match, helping him retain the title. This led to the formation of The Meta-Four, a stable consisting of Dar, Legend, Jackson, and Oro Mensah. On February 20, 2024, Legend challenged Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship but was unsuccessful. She also competed in a six-woman ladder match at Battleground to crown the first NXT Women’s North American Champion but did not win.
At The Great American Bash on July 30, Lash Legend and Jackson failed to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from The Unholy Union. Around this time, The Meta-Four turned face after Ethan Page attacked Dar and Mensah backstage.
Lash Legend made her main roster debut on the October 11 episode of SmackDown. The Meta-Four successfully challenged Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Lash Legend made her first singles victory on the main roster on October 18. At her debut, Lash defeated Piper Niven. She then became involved in a multi-team feud that led to a fatal four-way tag team match at Crown Jewel, where Belair and Cargill retained the titles.
Lash Legend later took part in the Women’s United States Championship tournament but was eliminated in the opening round. At the 2025 Royal Rumble, she entered at #9, lasted 17 minutes, and was eliminated by Chelsea Green. On April 29, 2025, The Meta-Four officially disbanded, with each member choosing to pursue solo careers.
