Cruiserweight Championship Feud

On the November 23rd episode of NXT 2.0, Joe Gacy convinced Roderick Strong to give him a Cruiserweight Championship match even though he was over 205 pounds. The match took place at NXT WarGames and Gacy said he was going to make the title all-inclusive instead of it just being for cruiserweights. At War Games, Gacy failed to win the match and the title.

In April 2022, Joe Gacy sparked a high-profile feud with NXT Champion Bron Breakker after he and Harland kidnapped Breakker’s father, WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner. During this storyline, Gacy transformed into a dark, sadistic, cult-like leader, adding a sinister edge to his character. The rivalry led to their first championship clash at NXT Spring Breakin’ on May 3, 2022, where Gacy came up short in his bid for the NXT Title. Determined to claim the gold, Gacy challenged Breakker to a rematch at NXT In Your House with a special stipulation: if Breakker was disqualified, he would lose the NXT Championship. Despite the high stakes, Gacy was once again unable to capture the title from Breakker.

Joe Gacy Forms Schism

On the July 19, 2022 episode of NXT 2.0, Joe Gacy revealed his druids as The Dyad, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler, formerly James Drake and Zack Gibson of The Grizzled Young Veterans. Forming the faction Schism, they feuded with Cameron Grimes, with newcomer Ava Raine debuting and helping Gacy defeat Grimes on November 8 to end the rivalry.

Gacy competed in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline but failed to earn a title shot. Schism began to dissolve in September 2023 after The Dyad’s contracts expired, officially ending at NXT No Mercy when Gacy declared the group “dead,” followed by Ava’s farewell to NXT.

On October 31, 2023, during week two of NXT Halloween Havoc, Joe Gacy appeared in a vignette teasing a potential character change. In the weeks that followed, he appeared in bizarre segments, including emerging from a car trunk and posing as a construction worker. On the January 16, 2024 episode of NXT, Gacy joined the commentary team for Dijak vs. Trey Bearhill. After Dijak insulted Booker T and Vic Joseph and knocked off Gacy’s headset, Gacy attacked him, turning face and starting a feud.

Gacy lost to Dijak in a No Disqualification match at NXT Vengeance Day and again in an Asylum Match at NXT Roadblock. At Stand & Deliver, he was attacked by Ridge Holland before his match but chose to compete, defeating Shawn Spears in what would be his final NXT appearance.

The Wyatt Sicks & Tag Team Gold

Joe Gacy debuted on the June 17, 2024 episode of Raw as part of The Wyatt Sicks, wearing a pig mask inspired by Huskus the Pig Boy. He, Dexter Lumis, and Erick Rowan defeated American Made (Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers) on August 5, later ending the feud with a Street Fight win on September 9.

After feuding with The Miz and The Final Testament, the group was drafted to SmackDown but went inactive due to Uncle Howdy’s injury. Returning on May 23, 2025, they attacked The Street Profits, Fraxiom, and DIY. On July 11, Gacy and Lumis beat The Street Profits to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. They retained at SummerSlam in a six-team TLC Match, with Gacy pulling down the titles for the win.
