Jonah Niesenbaum, a 24-year-old professional wrestler from Allentown, Pennsylvania, is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he competes on the NXT brand under the ring name Cutler James.

Before stepping into the world of sports entertainment, Niesenbaum was a standout collegiate wrestler at Duke University, where he built a strong foundation in amateur wrestling—skills that now fuel his in-ring style and competitive edge in WWE.

Professional Wrestling Career

He began training at the WWE Performance Center in 2023, under the guidance of trainers including Fit Finlay, Matt Bloom, and Robbie Brookside. Niesenbaum initially performed under his real name but adopted the ring name, Cutler James, on April 29, 2024. He made his television debut on the May 10, 2024 episode of NXT Level Up where he faced Josh Briggs in a losing effort. He then appeared on the May 31, 2024 episode of NXT Level Up where he faced Uriah Connors in another losing effort. In February 2025, James aligned with the heel faction DarkState, alongside Saquon Shugars, Dion Lennox, and Osiris Griffin. This alliance marked a significant character shift, showcasing a more aggressive and chaotic persona .

As of May 2025, Cutler James has participated in 20 matches, securing 4 wins and facing 16 losses. His victories include matches against Jasper Troy, Shiloh Hill, Harlem Lewis, and Anthony Luke.
